PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette which can facilitate attachment working when attached to a printer that has the printing function to a printing tape and the releasing function of a mount from the printing tape. SOLUTION: The printing tape and an ink ribbon are held in a cassette case. The printing tape is passed through a printing head placement part of the printer which becomes a printing position, and is let out to the outside of the cassette case. On the other hand, the ink ribbon is collected in the cassette case after being let out to a printing head placement position while overlapped with the printing tape. In the printing tape, a tape base material to which printing is carried out is pasted separably to the mount. In an unused state of the tape cassette, the mount is formed longer than the tape base material at a leading end part in a let-out direction of the printing tape, whereby the mount and the tape base material become uneven.
