PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair capable of performing travel by pushing in a state where a person to be cared and a caring person face each other, and allowing the figure of the person to be cared not to be viewed from a front part in the travel direction. SOLUTION: The wheelchair 1A includes a pair of right and left handles 3 for reverse travel arranged in a wheelchair body 2. Grooves with substantially U shape cross sections are opened in the upper parts of arm rests 222A, which are arranged in the wheelchair body 2, over the whole length in the longitudinal direction. The depth and width in the grooves are formed to be a little larger in diameter than the thickness of handle bodies 310. The respective handles 3 for reverse travel to be rotatable in the front and rear direction of the wheelchair body include: the handle bodies 310; grip parts 320; fitting parts 330; and handle position fixing screws 340. The distal ends of the handle bodies 310 constitute the grip parts 320, and the proximal ends constitute the fitting parts 330. When the handle position fixing screws 340 are fastened, the distal ends of the handle bodies 310 are held, thereby fixing the handle bodies 310 by desired angle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
