PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane filtration apparatus which does not need a washing pump or a washing tank for washing a hollow fiber membrane. SOLUTION: The hollow fiber membrane filtration apparatus 7 is composed of a pair of hollow fiber filtration membrane modules 16a and 16b in which undiluted solution feed passages 10a and 10b are connected to a common undiluted solution feed header pipe 8 through their respective valves 9a and 9b, filtrate discharge passages 12a and 12b are connected to a common filtrate discharge header pipe 11 fitted with a valve 18, return undiluted solution passages 15a and 15b are connected to a common return undiluted solution header pipe 13 through their respective valves 14a and 14b, and the undiluted solution passages 15a and 15b and the undiluted solution feed passages 10a and 10b are connected respectively by series flushing pipes 5a and 5b through their respective valves 6a and 6b. The hollow fiber filtration membrane modules 16a and 16b are connected in series by the opening/closing operations of the valves 6a, 6b, 9a, 9b, 14a, 14b, and 18.
