<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sarcosine oxidase which is obtained by modifying a protein having sarcosine oxidase activity by a protein engineering method, and has reduced workability on proline, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a use thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are the modified sarcosine oxidase in which the specific position-lysine of a specific amino acid sequence is replaced by arginine and on whose action on proline is reduced; the method for producing the same; and a reagent for measuring creatine or creatinine with the enzyme. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
