<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the desired number of paper supply trays and their capacity without causing deterioration of operability due to increased height of an image reading device even when an image forming device is miniaturized and its operability is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading device comprises: a recording medium accommodating container disposed under a plurality of image forming parts in a state that a recording medium is accommodated for feeding the recording medium vertically upward to a secondary transfer means; a waste toner accommodating container disposed in a manner that at least a part is located under the image forming part located at the edge of a belt-like intermediate transfer member opposite to the secondary transfer means for accommodating waste toner removed from an image carrier of each of the image forming parts, and waste toner removed from the belt-like intermediate transfer member; a first electric component disposed in a space above the waste toner accommodating container; and a second electric component disposed in a space of triangular shape in a section composed of the upper surface of the recording medium accommodating container, the undersurface of the plurality of image forming parts, and the side surface of the waste toner accommodating container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
