<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner permitting easy replacement of a filter cassette and secure attachment of the filter cassette. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaner 10 decomposes an organic substance with a photocatalyst. The air cleaner 10 comprises a case body 11 having an air intake part 21 for taking in air into the inside and an exhaust part 23 for discharging air to the outside; photocatalytic filters 12a and 12b having layers including the photocatalyst and disposed inside the case body 11; a light irradiation part 14 for irradiating the photocatalytic filters 12a and 12b with light; and a blower part 16 for blowing air into a channel formed between the air intake part 21 and the exhaust part 23. The photocatalytic filters 12a and 12b are held in the filter cassette 50 detachable from the case body 11. The filter cassette 50 has an engagement part 53 to be engaged with the case body 11 when attached; a first biasing part 56 for applying biasing force in the direction opposite from the direction of releasing the engagement of the engagement part 53; and a second biasing part 54 for applying biasing force in the direction opposite from the direction of attaching the filter cassette 50 when taken out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
