<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type copper refining method where iron precipitates having satisfactory filterability and hardly comprising copper can be formed without using neutralizers and the other special chemicals. <P>SOLUTION: In the wet type copper refining method comprising: a chlorine exuding stage where a copper raw material comprising a copper sulfide mineral is subjected to chlorine exuding, so as to obtain an exuding liquid; a copper ion reduction treatment stage where the obtained exuding liquid is reduced, so as to obtain a reduction product liquid; a copper separation-winning stage where, from the obtained reduction product liquid, copper is subjected to electrowinning or solvent extraction; and a stage where, from the exuding liquid, reduction product liquid, solvent raffinate or electrolysis tail water, iron is separated away, in the exuding, reduction product liquid, solvent raffinate or electrolysis tail liquid comprising ferrous chloride and cuprous chloride or cupric chloride, pH is held to 0 to 2.5 and temperature is held to 60 to 95°C, respectively, and oxygen in air is blown into the liquid under the atmospheric pressure, so as to precipitate a part of ferrous chloride as goethite. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
