NEW BACILLUS SUBTILIS MUTANT STRAIN AND METHOD FOR PREPARING LONG-LIVED BACILLUS SUBTILIS MUTANT STRAIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-lived mutant strain derived from Bacillus subtilis and to provide a method for preparing the long-lived mutant strain derived from the Bacillus subtilis. SOLUTION: The Bacillus subtilis mutant strain has a genomic structure in which a yydD-rocR gene region in the Bacillus subtilis is deleted. The method for preparing the long-lived Bacillus subtilis mutant strain comprises deleting the yydD-rocR gene region in the Bacillus subtilis genome to be the object. The Bacillus subtilis mutant strain has characteristics that life thereof is prolonged as compared with a Bacillus subtilis strain having a genomic structure comprising the yydD-rocR gene region.
