PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform inter-vehicle communication using a small-sized directional antenna capable of controlling a beam width. SOLUTION: In the directional antenna 100, loop-like antenna elements 10-1 to 10-M respectively having an outer diameter H and a conductor width L are arranged. The odd-numbered antenna elements 10-1 and 10-e, etc., are arranged at positions paralelly shifted for 2G in a y axis direction on one surface, and even-numbered antenna elements 10-2 and 10-4, etc., are arranged at positions parallelly shifted for 2G in the y axis direction on the other surface. The antenna element 10-2 is arranged at a position at which the antenna element 10-1 is parallelly shifted for G in the y axis direction and for D in an x axis direction. The total of 2M pieces of intersections of a surface parallel to an xy plane and the respective antenna elements 10-m passing through the center of the respective loop-shaped antenna elements 10-m are defined as ports. Communication equipment is connected to one part of the ports and variable reactance elements are connected to the other ports.
