PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high grade decorative plate provided with a metal foil layer covering the whole surface of a base material, keeping the atmosphere of depth of the metal foil and capable of being easily subsequently post-processed on a decorative objective surface having a complicated curved surface such as an uneven or undulate surface without causing wrinkle on the metal foil layer. SOLUTION: In a decorative interior material comprising the base material made of an aluminum made plate, the metal foil layer with a varnish layer interposed on the metal made base material to cover the whole surface of the base material with the metal foil layer and a transparent coating material layer covering the metal foil layer, the thickness of the base material is about 0.5 mm, shellac varnish is interposed between the base material and the varnish layer, an aluminum foil is used as the metal foil layer and the transparent coating material layer covering the metal foil layer is a supernatant coating layer of the shellac varnish and having 0.1-0.2 mm thickness.
