<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the weight of a necessary part, leave a design freedom degree of the shape of a golf club head of a part easily visible from the outside and remove an excessive thickness. <P>SOLUTION: This iron club head is provided with a head body 12 having a face 10 and a cavity in the back side of the face, and a weight adjusting body 14 formed of a metal material having a specific gravity larger than that of the head body forming material. The weight adjusting body is positioned in the lower end in the back side of the sole of the iron club head; the wall thickness in the crosswise direction orthogonally crossing the toe-heel direction is varied to be large/small by irregularly forming not the back side but the face side; the lower part of the cavity of the head body has a wall part covering the weight adjusting body; and the wall thickness in an area to the center part in the longitudinal direction and the wall thickness of an area to the heel part are not remarkably varied in the wall part to form the irregular shape according to the wall thickness variation of the weight adjusting body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
