摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composite oxide exhibiting photocurrent responsibility even to visible light irradiation and made into a semiconductor photoelectrode material and a photocatalyst material, and a photoelectrode and a photocatalyst composed thereof. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a composite oxide having visible light responsibility. In the composite oxide comprising the three elements of Fe, Zr and Ti or comprising the two elements of Fe and Zr, the containing ratios of the respective elements lie in the ranges of 20 to 80% regarding Fe, 20 to 50% regarding Zr and 0 to 30% regarding Ti in the total content of 100%. The composite oxide is produced by a thermal decomposition process. Also disclosed are a thin film composed of the composite oxide, a semiconductor photoelectrode composite of the compound oxide and the thin film, and a photocatalyst composite of the compound oxide and the thin film.
