PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of inhibiting the impairment of the amusement of the play by executing such variation of ornament symbol lines as not to reduce the degree of expectancy of a player for a specific profit to be granted. SOLUTION: When execution of a "continuous variation" presentation is terminated, an ornament symbol line variation control means 2960 stops a single or a plurality of ready-to-win states corresponding to the number of times of execution of the "continuous variation" presentation on an effective line as the result. On the other hand, if the execution of the "continuous variation" presentation is continued, the ornament symbol line variation control means temporarily stops the variation with temporarily stopped symbols similar to the single or plurality of ready-to-win states corresponding to the number of times of execution of the "continuous variation" presentation. In this way, the player can know the number of times of execution of the "continuous variation" presentation if the player pays attention to the temporarily stopped symbols similar to the single or plurality of ready-to-win states corresponding to the number of times of execution of the "continuous variation" presentation in the process till the execution of the "continuous variation" presentation is terminated.
