PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic device of a passenger conveyer capable of improving the accuracy of the diagnosis of a diagnostic apparatus by a diagnostic operation of each passenger conveyer. SOLUTION: A diagnostic operation control device 13 of a control device 3 of an escalator includes a first means (a step S07) for calculating a changing trend of the diagnostic apparatus based on the accumulated information of diagnostic results of the diagnostic apparatus, a second means (the step S07) for outputting a deviation signal when a diagnostic result deviates from the changing trend, a third means (a step 10) for changing a diagnostic cycle of the diagnostic apparatus according to the deviation signal, for example, by shortening the cycle, a fourth means (a step S13) for returning the diagnostic cycle when any deviation signal is not outputted for a predetermined period of time after the diagnostic cycle of the diagnostic apparatus is shortened, and a fifth means (a step S12) for outputting an alarm corresponding to at least one of cases regarding the diagnostic result after a deviation signal output including the case that the deviation signal is outputted continuously and the case that the deviation signal is outputted at a predetermined frequency.
