PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate holding member and a package that enable an electronic element to operate normally, and an electronic device. SOLUTION: The substrate holding member comprises a plate portion 11a made of metal, a standing wall portion 11d provided on the plate portion 11a and made of long-sized metal, a support portion 11c extending from the longitudinal end portion of the standing wall portion 11d in the transverse direction of the standing wall portion 11d in plan view of the plate portion 11a, and a ceramic substrate 6 joined on the plate portion 11a so that at least a part of it is positioned in an area enclosed with the support portion 11c and standing wall portion 11d in plan view of the plate portion 11a.
