PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for wetting a fingertip capable of making easy to open a plastic shopping bag or a vinyl bag, or to count bank notes. SOLUTION: The instrument for wetting a finger tip is characterized in that an atomizer is horizontally housed on a platform seat provided with a concave part so as to be easily housed, pointing a nozzle upwards, a fulcrum axle is provided at the front end of a cover main body which is imaged as a whale, and the nozzle is positioned at the same position as a blowhole on which the index finger is held to push the tail down with a palm of a hand put on a back so that water is ejected nebulously from the nozzle of the atomizer aiming at the index finger held on the blowhole by the principle of leverage to appropriately wet the fingertip as if the whale blows seawater.
