PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating operation type input device mounted on various electronic equipment and which can be made thin in size and inexpensive. SOLUTION: A first guide plate 32 of magnetic substance on which a plurality of movable magnets 33 are fixed is fixed on the lower face of an operating body 31 engaged rotatably with a base board 34, and a second plane part 35B of a second guide plate 35 formed of a plate material of magnetic substance is fixed on the base board 34 corresponding to the installation angle position of the movable magnet 33. At the rotating operation, each of the movable magnets 33 faces is separated from the second plane part 35B simultaneously, and further, since the spacing between a lower bent portion 32C provided at the first guide plate 32 and an upper bent portion 35C provided at the second guide plate 35 becomes a close face-to-face arrangement relation, the magnetic flux from the movable magnets 33 is guided in a closed loop between the first guide plate 32 and the second guide plate 35.
