A gas supplied to the hops is producible with a determined moisture and temperature in the mixing device based on the measured data in the kiln and the compensation chamber. The compensation chamber is connected with the kiln, in which the hops are dried. The parameter of the temperature and/or the speed is regulated. The mixing device has flaps, which guide the volume flow of the gas into the mixing device.
