<p>The invention relates to a device for taking up and unwinding reels containing a continuous material, especially a drawn wire material. Said device comprises a housing (1', 15), a mandrel (2) which is received on the housing side, a disk (4) on the mandrel side, and a swiveling arm (7) which is swiveled to the housing outside the axis (5) of the mandrel and which comprises on the one end a dancer roll (9) guiding the continuous material and on the other end a magnet holder containing at least one magnet (11). The magnet holder can be operatively linked with the disk according to the principle of an eddy current brake when the continuous material is unwound.</p> |
