<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the life of a display panel by restraining image persistence of a pixel. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting display device having a display panel in which a plurality of pixels 11 including one or more sub-pixels 11a, 11b, 11c are disposed can be controlled by combination of a first display method in which light is emitted only by pixel P(i, j) at the luminescence center and a second display method in which the luminance of the pixel P(i, j) at the luminescence center is apportioned to neighborhood pixels in the periphery.
