<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing unit diagnosing apparatus capable of diagnosing deviation of the zero point of an ink key in a printing unit. <P>SOLUTION: The printing unit diagnosing apparatus includes: an opening degree data extracting means which extracts, from an opening degree data storage means, pattern area ratio data and ending ink key opening degree data that correspond to an analytical object setting value including an analytical object period, a printing unit and an ink key range; a regression computing means which, assuming that x is a pattern area ratio and y is an ink key opening degree, on the basis of the extracted pattern area ratio data and the corresponding ending ink key opening degree data, applies the method of least squares to derive a regression equation y=ax+b; and a zero point abnormality discriminating means which outputs the zero point abnormality signal of the ink key when b in the regression equation y=ax+b does not reach a prescribed reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
