<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb filter which suppresses a thermal stress in the interface between a sealing body and a partition wall. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb filter 21 comprises a columnar honeycomb structure 23 having a plurality of cells 28 partitioned into a honeycomb shape by a cell wall 27, and the sealants 30 each sealing either of the open ends of the cell 28. In the honeycomb filter, the sealant 30 is composed of a clad 30a occupying the peripheral region in the vicinity of the cell wall 27, and a core 30b occupying the central region in the vicinity of a central axis X of the cell 28, and the clad 30a and the core 30b have a different Young's modulus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
