<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink that has superior heat radiation characteristics and can be transported automatically and readily, and to provide a heat-sink fan. <P>SOLUTION: In a radiating fin 12, two branch fins 121 are composed from substantially the middle point of the radiation fins 12 toward the outside, in the radial direction. In the heat sink 10, the radiation fins 12 is cut so that a square pole section 14 with a center axis J1 as the center remains. The lower ends of a plurality of first radiation fins 141 are cut, and second radiation fins 142, which project toward the outside in the radial direction from the first radiation fins 141, are formed. An aggregate constituted of the second radiation fins 142 is called a sealing section 1420. A fan 5 for cooling feeds cooling air to the heat sink 1 for forced radiation. In the heat-sink fan 100 placed on a tray, the locking section 1420 is locked by a gripping means 6.
