METHOD FOR PRODUCING COPPER POWDER, AND COPPER POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a copper powder in which a grain size distribution width is extremely narrow and the content of impurities is suppressed, and to provide a homogeneous copper powder of high quality obtained thereby and having increased electric conductivity. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the copper powder with which a hydrazine based reducing agent is added to a copper salt compound slurry obtained by adding an alkali solution to a copper salt aqueous solution so as to be a cuprous oxide slurry, the cuprous oxide slurry is water-washed, and a hydrazine based reducing agent is again added to the re-slurried cleaned cuprous oxide slurry; by the time the final reduction reaction is completed, a phosphorous compound is added to the reaction slurry in such a manner that the molar ratio between phosphorous and copper satisfies P/Cu=0.0001 to 0.003.
