PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threshing and separating apparatus which is improved in the separation accuracy of its separation section. SOLUTION: The threshing and separating apparatus has the following construction: a threshing cylinder with its axis in the longitudinal direction is horizontally suspended in the threshing chamber of the threshing section in such a manner as to be revolvable around its axis, and the separation element of the separation section is disposed above the threshing cylinder, thus forming a falling space for grains and the like in between the separation element and the threshing cylinder. A release port is opened toward the outside on one sidewall of the threshing section on the side standing against the revolving direction on the underside of the circumferential surface of the threshing cylinder, and the release port and the falling space are made to communicate with each other, thus forming a release path through which blow air or the like is released out of the machine body.
