A method and an apparatus for correcting a defect of a circuit of a liquid crystal display device are provided to correct a defect of a circuit with a simple method and a low cost without degradation of an aperture ratio of each pixel. An apparatus for correcting a defect of a circuit includes an opening part forming device and a short wiring forming device. The opening part forming device has an opening part(28) in a protective layer(22). The protective layer covers a signal line(12) adjacent to a pixel electrode(16) of a pixel generating a defect. The short wiring forming device piles a conductive material(30) on the opening part, contacts the conductive material with the pixel electrode, and includes a piling device, a plasma generating device, and a heating device. A conductive paste includes a conductive nano-size metallic particle and a binder. The plasma generating device sprays an oxygen radical into a piled conductive paste under atmospheric pressure. The heating device heats the conductive paste. |
