A grinding and polishing machine includes a housing (12), an eccentric rotating mechanism, a reciprocating linear movement mechanism and a fixture (9). A rotating shaft (6) is provided at the first end of the eccentric structure of the eccentric rotating mechanism and the rotating shaft (6) is supported within the housing (12) through bearings (8). An eccentric shaft (5) is provided at the second end of the eccentric structure and the axis of eccentric shaft (5) is arranged parallelly with respect to the axis of the rotating shaft (6) and away from the latter. The reciprocating linear movement mechanism consists of one main shaft (1), one through nine sub shafts (2), one link (3) and at least one pendulum rod (4). One end of the link (3) is hinge-jointed with the eccentric shaft (5) and the other end is hinge-joined with the main shaft (1). The main shaft (1) is axially slidably supported. Said pendulum rod (4) is arranged transversely with respect to the main shaft (1) and is pendularly supported by a support point (10). The main shaft (1) and the sub shafts (2) are hinge-joined at the different positions in the length direction of the pendulum rod (4) respectively. The present invention is compact in structure and is convenient to use. It is possible to improve the efficiency of polishing and decrease the polishing time of machine.
