摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect reduction of luminous efficiency of respective light-emitting elements arranged in a matrix while suppressing increase of costs. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a plurality of pixels each having a current-drive type light emitting element, a plurality of signal lines inputting image voltage to respective pixels, and a pixel selection means for selecting pixels into which the image voltage is written through the plurality of signal lines from the plurality of pixels. The pixel selection circuit has a plurality of detection gate lines. Each pixel has: a drive transistor, a first electrode of which is connected to a power source line and a second electrode of which is connected to one end of the light emitting element; and a detection transistor, a first electrode of which is connected to one end of the light emitting element and a second electrode of which is connected to a corresponding signal line in the signal lines. The other end of the light emitting element of each pixel is connected to a reference potential. A gate electrode of the detection transistor is connected to a corresponding detection gate line in the plurality of detection gate lines, and the detection transistor is turned on during a detection period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
