<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a surface mounting type card and a connector base capable of preventing a skimming damage in a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The connector 10 for the surface mounting type card is equipped with a terminal group 12 constituted of eight connector terminals 11, and a housing 20. Each of the eight connector terminals 11 has a first connecting part 11f in contact with one of the eight card terminals, a second connecting part connected by surface mounting with a substrate, and a coupling part 11t. A peripheral wall part 21 formed in the housing 20 surrounds the terminal group 12 when viewed along a direction orthogonal to the card face of the smart card in a connecting state, and when viewed along all the directions (refer to A) which are in parallel with the card face, covers the respective coupling parts 11t of the eight connector terminals 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
