<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent exhaust gas flowing inside a housing from passing through a bearing clearance of a bearing part and leaking out to the atmosphere without depending on incorporation of a seal mechanism to the bearing part of an operation part of a variable mechanism of an supercharger for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the supercharger for the internal combustion engine, by displacing and operating, from outside of the housing, an operation shaft 47 of the variable mechanism inserted to the bearing part penetrating from inside to outside of the housing, the variable mechanism is operated from outside of the housing.
