EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently remove particulate matter in exhaust gas while improving maintenance property and reducing electric power consumption in an exhaust emission control device.

SOLUTION: An upstream side DPF 14 and a downstream side DPF 18 are disposed at different positions in exhaust gas flow. A charge device 16 is connected between the upstream side DPF 14 and the downstream side DPF 18. The charge device 16 is provided with a charge electrode charging particulate matter and a collecting part provided at an exhaust gas downstream side and grounded. The collecting part can collect at least part of particulate matter sent to the charge device 16 from the upstream side DPF 14 under a condition where the same is concentrated in an electrostatically large lump.
