PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening member capable of preventing an excessive force from being applied to a lock part for locking and fixing a nut, and also preventing slack. SOLUTION: This clip nut 1, which is a fastening member, comprises a nut 2 whose outer shape is a rectangular column, and a clip body 3, which is a fastening member body and has a metallic plate base part 4 having nipping pieces 4A, 4B with bolt insertion holes 41A, 41B opposed to each other at a predetermined interval and bent like a U-shape, and a lock part 5 for locking and fixing the nut 2 provided outside one nipping piece 4A. An axis-symmetrical fitting concave part 22 with an approximately trapezoidal shape seen from a cross section is formed to the nut 2 on the clip body 3 side. In the clip body 3, a fitting projection part 42 projecting outward in an approximately trapezoidal shape seen from a cross section axis-symmetrically to be fitted with the fitting concave part 22 of the nut 2 is formed around the bolt insertion hole 41A of one nipping piece 4A, and the bolt insertion hole 41A is eccentric from a central position of the fitting projection part 42.
