PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase whose production cost can be reduced by simplifying the construction of the shelves themselves and which can improve the effect of display. SOLUTION: The showcase 1, consisting of a display chamber 11 whose front side is open in an insulated wall 3 and shelves 25, ... for displaying commercial goods which are erected in the display chamber 11. In this case, is provided with: a back panel 6 which is positioned on the back side of the display chamber 11 for constituting a back duct 9 between itself and the insulated wall 3 through which cold air rises; a cool air discharge hole 44A on the upper edge of the opening of the display chamber 11; a shelf duct member 50 which is detachably attached to the shelf 25, communicates with the back duct 9 at a communicating part 51 at its rear end, and has an intermediate cool air discharge hole 52 at its front end; and a damper 36 for blocking the back duct 9 on the upper side of the communicating part 51 of the shelf duct member 50 which is attached to the shelf 25. The shelf duct member 50 can be attached to a ceiling part 3A of the display chamber 11 and communicates the upper end of the back duct 9 and the cool air discharge hole 52 when it is attached.
