The vehicle (1) has a monitoring device provided for monitoring rearward traffic conditions in front and rear of the vehicle, where the device comprises an image detection unit (3) i.e. camera, which is integrated into one of longitudinal sides (2.2) of the vehicle. The image detection unit is connected with a driver assistance system by a data processing unit, where the driver assistance system is controllable based on data determined from the traffic conditions. The image detection unit is connected with an output unit in the interior of the vehicle by a data processing unit.
