<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify to which channel of which broadcast kind a direct key is set at present in an electronic program guide including the program information of the channels of a plurality of broadcast kinds. <P>SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver displays the electronic program guide for which the plurality of broadcast kinds such as terrestrial digital and BS are gathered. In this case, data in which a specified direct key is allocated to each channel of the plurality of broadcast kinds beforehand are stored. Then, when the channels of the plurality of broadcast kinds to which the same direct key is allocated are simultaneously displayed in the electronic program guide (terrestrial 011 and BS 101 for instance), the direct key for tuning the channel is set to one of the channels of the plurality of broadcast kinds to which the same direct key is allocated according to a predetermined condition.
