<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging control method, wherein an image is sorted at the time of picking up the image, and images in each event can be easily reproduced and viewed. <P>SOLUTION: When a power supply for the imaging apparatus 10 is turned on and an operation mode of the imaging apparatus 10 is set at an imaging mode, the present time is acquired from a built-in clock 82 (step S90) and whether schedule information corresponding to the present time is registered is determined (step S92). When the schedule information corresponding to the present time is not registered (No in step S92), a route holder in an external memory 102 is set in a recording holder (step S94).
