<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a minimally invasive treatment for a patient by performing a procedure without requiring a large skin incision, performing extracorporeal circulation, causing a heart to stop beating, and leaving a large foreign matter in the heart in closing a defect hole of atrial septal defect. <P>SOLUTION: An atrial septal defect hole closing device 1 is equipped with a suture member 2 formed by gathering proximal end sides of a plurality of elastic wire materials 10, 10... in a columnar shape and integrating them, suture needles 3 mounted on distal end parts of the respective wire materials 10, and suture threads 4 connected to the suture needles 3 for suturing an arterial wall on the marginal wall of the defect hole in an arterial septum. Each of the wire materials 10 is curved in a manner to be located radially more outward of the suture member 2 toward the distal end. The suture needle 3 is disposed to project to the proximal end side of the wire material 10.
