PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently display an image and a character string attached to the image on one screen.

SOLUTION: This display device includes: a margin area detecting part 55 for detecting a margin area which is an area obtained by excluding an image display area for displaying an image and a character string display area for displaying a character string from the whole area of a display screen; and a relocation control part 51 for altering the positions or sizes of the image, the character string or both of them from the initial state so that the image and the character string are within the same display screen by utilizing the margin area.
