PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of modifying a system for use at 450 MHz to be a system for use at 770 MHz. SOLUTION: In a CATV system for transmitting CATV signals dropped by drop wires to a terminal side by using a plurality of line transmission routes through one or a plurality of splitters or branching units, a signal correction amplifier having a predetermined gain for correcting a transmission loss by a predetermined transmission route is disposed close behind an output terminal of the splitter or branching unit positioned closest to the terminal side of a predetermined transmission route whose signal level of the terminal side becomes lower than a predetermined level out of the transmission routes when transmitting a second frequency band signal having a frequency which includes the first frequency band instead of the first frequency band signal as a down link band signal to be transmitted to a CATV system and which is higher than the maximum frequency of at least the first frequency band. This results in allowing the signal level of terminal side at the second frequency band to be more than a predetermined level on any system of line transmission routes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
