摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling circuit for enhancing turbine performance. SOLUTION: In a gas turbine having a compressor discharge casing, this cooling circuit diverts compressor discharge air toward a high pressure packing (HPP) circuit. The cooling circuit includes an inlet pipe (14) for receiving compressor discharge air. One or several low-temperature cooling air pipes (16) are in fluid communication with the inlet pipe (14) via a pipe manifold (18), and the pipe manifold (18) distributes the discharge air across the low-temperature cooling air pipes (16). A seal (12) is disposed upstream of an entrance to the HPP circuit to limit a flow rate into the HPP circuit, and a second seal (12) is disposed downstream of the HPP circuit at a turbine wheel space to limit intake and thus the purge flow air required. The circuit serves to reduce a required purge flow rate within the HPP circuit so that the amount of compressor discharge air can be returned to a main flow path, thereby improving turbine performance.
