The mower (1) has two coupled mowing bars (2, 2') lying in parallel, and separated from each other by a division joint (7). The bars accommodate mowing disks (3) circumferentially driven at a rotation axis (4). The mowing disks stay in drive connection with a towing vehicle and a carrier vehicle by a drive connector (5). The drive connector bridges the division joint and two gear units (6, 6'). The gear units lie on both sides of the division joint as part of the mowing bars and are mounted on the end-side of the mowing bars.
