An IGBT drive of a welding machine is provided to replace only a part of the driving unit even in the break down of IGBT, and to minimize damage to the IGBT by monitoring and handling the malfunction of the IGBT. An IGBT drive of a welding machine comprises a signal reshaping unit which applies a control signal for operating a switching element to a driving unit(11) of lower class when a driving signal is input through a signal unit; the driving unit which drives a gate unit(12) in response to the control signal, stops the IGBT driving of the gate unit when an error signal is applied from a soft-off unit, and outputs the error state; an IGBT monitoring unit(13) which monitors the malfunction of the gate unit and generates the error signal applied to the soft-off unit; a power monitoring unit which detects low power and generates an error signal to the soft-off unit in order to prevent the malfunction of the IGBT monitoring unit; and the soft-off unit which gradually turns off the IGBT when the malfunction occurs.
