METHOD FOR RECEIVING BROADCAST SERVICE GUIDE INFORMATION OF MOBILE TERMINAL

A broadcast service guide information reception of a portable terminal preventing the increment of the broadcast bandwidth and improving availability of the portable terminal is provided to reduce the size of the service guide information by receiving basic information necessary for contents purchase. If a user enters a broadcast mode after the portable terminal is driven by the user(S101), a controller determines whether entering the broadcast mode is initiated(S102). If so, the controller receives the basic service guide information through the broadcast channel(S103). The received basic service guide information is processed and outputted(S104). If the user selects one service by using a menu, the controller demands the detail service guide information about the selected service item through the already designated specific interaction channel(S106, S107).
