PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality content at a reduced price, simultaneously with the sale of a medium recorded with the content, such as a movie, and to further ensure a copyright protection of the content.

SOLUTION: A content recording device 10 for recording content data acquired through a communication network on a recording medium 104 includes: a content data acquiring section 101 which acquires content data from a delivery server; a key information acquiring section 102 which acquires key information from a key issue server 14 by extracting from the recording medium 104 a medium ID peculiar to the recording medium 104 and requesting issues of keys including the medium ID to the key issue server 14; and a recording section 103 which records the acquired content data and the key information on the recording medium 104.
