PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe electric component storage box for an air conditioner. SOLUTION: In a separation type indoor unit constituted by connecting an indoor unit and an outdoor unit by a connection pipe and a connection electric wire, this electric component storage box has a control board for controlling motion of electric components of the air conditioner, and a terminal board connected with the control board in a state that the connection electric wire from the outdoor unit is inserted from its lower part to be connected therewith. A terminal board cover for covering a connection electric wire inserting portion of the terminal board is mounted on a grille, and a noncombustible matter is disposed at a side opposed to the terminal board.
