PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that disconnection of a metal wiring layer results by a lapse of time and display failure is generated since corrosion reaction spreading/growing on the metal wiring layer in a connection terminal part of a display device can not perfectly be suppressed. SOLUTION: The display device includes a first substrate having a group of terminal electrodes on one side thereof and a second substrate opposing the first substrate via a liquid crystal material. At least one of the terminal electrodes forms a branched terminal electrode provided with an electrode region spatially branched via an isolation region extending along an elongating direction of each terminal electrode. The second substrate is so disposed as not to cover the terminal electrodes. A corrosion resistant conductive layer covering the terminal electrodes and the isolation region and electrically conducting each terminal electrode isolated by the isolation region is provided.
