PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and to extend a service life of a battery built in a tag in a location management system having a location management reader arranged in each of a plurality of spaces and using the reader side to manage the movement and present position of the tag in each space by sending a unique ID at fixed time intervals to the reader from the radio active tag carried by a user.
SOLUTION: An access management reader detecting the passage of the tag by transmitting an inquiry signal to the tag and receiving a reply signal is installed at a section (a door) between a first space area comprising an office divided into the plurality of spaces, and a second space area comprising a corridor. A transmission signal is transmitted until a predetermined time T0 elapses after the tag transmitted the reply signal, and when the time T0 elapses, transmission is stopped until a reply signal is transmitted again. Transmission is thereby continued nearly until a user is seated after entry, and transmission is stopped after the user is probably seated.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
