PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water saving lever for a faucet for a washbasin which enables the stop or ejection of water to be easily performed in a state that water is stored in palms of both of person's hands by receiving the water by the palms of both his/her hands, because extremely poor economy is brought about when the person actually washes his/her face while leaving water running, while he/she cannot easily stop water in a state of storing the water in the palms of both his/her hands, though he/she washes his/her face by discharging the water and receiving it by the palms of both his/her hands, in the case that he/she washes his/her face by using a manual lever type faucet for a conventional washbasin. SOLUTION: This water saving lever 2 operating in synchronization with the "lifting ejection" type lever 1 for the manual faucet for the washbasin is provided. When the water is stopped, the tip 3 of the water saving lever 2 is positioned in the front of a spout 4, and installed in such a manner as to protrude by a proper length from the spout 4, and the tip 3 has a finger hook 5.
