PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give guidance by display of an image in parallel parking to a parking slot. SOLUTION: A circumferential condition around one's own vehicle picked up by a camera is displayed on a monitor as an overhead image seen from right above, and the final parking position for the own vehicle to be positioned finally is set in the parking slot S detected from the overhead image. Since a guide straight line 50 connecting the final turning center point Pf of the own vehicle Mf by the minimum turning-radius at the final parking position and the present turning center point Pcr of the own vehicle Mc by the minimum turning-radius at the present position, and an axis line icon 51 in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the own vehicle Mc are superposed on the overhead image to be combined, a driver can grasp an angle of approach to the parking slot S easily and adjust the direction of the vehicle with reference to the guide straight line 50 on the monitor screen.
