PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer rich in versatility capable of using a different kind of recording medium, and to provide the printer superior in operability of an individual user. SOLUTION: This printer includes a plurality of interfaces for making access to a plurality of respective recording media of storing printing object data, an exclusive control part of treating one interface as an effective interface among two or more of interfaces in a state accessible to the respective recording media via the two or more of interfaces among the plurality of interfaces, an image processing part of reading out the printing object data from the corresponding recording medium via the interface made effective from the exclusive control part, and a printing processing part for printing the printing object data read out of the image processing part.
